provided it fits the contest rules, it doesnt matter if its an original or if its not anime
upload your work to minitokyo. if its not anime related, you can put it into general walls.

I've been slowly changing the guidelines, but this announcement is just to let you know of a major change--well its less of a change and more of an FYI.
Rationale: I have discovered that after adding parent tags to characters and series, that these parent tags only auto tag for all items POST my adding these parent tags. Therefore it would be to taggers' benefit for these tags to be added prior to tagging entire galleries
Recommendation: There's no good way to do this since the tag must exist before staff can add parents or categorize. Thus i would say for larger galleries to tag characters here and there first and then post the character list with parent tags. Then afterwards continue tagging the scans. This is just to ensure that all of your wonderful attributes get tagged as well.
Alternatively you can also tag attributes as you go for all the scans, it just seems like a pain to me >_>
Anyways if you have a better recommendation or questions about this Guideline post here. If you have NO idea what I'm talking about, its not really the most important thing for everyone to know >3, just for the avid taggers.

Hey guys, point of clarification. The wall does not have to graphically depict your resolution (i.e improve my writing or wall more) although it can if you would like. The purpose of the challenge is to get people to wall in ways that they have always wanted to but never got the chance to. Some sample resolutions are listed below if you need inspiration, but really you can do anything.
1) Wall Scenic.
2) Learn to Paint / Improve my painting.
3) Use more Color / try monochrome / Use a certain color that i never use (like purple for vitaa)
4) Try abstract / Popart
5) Wall a bishie / Wall a non-bishie
As long as the lineart is vectored, we dont particularly care what you do with the rest of the wall. But this is vector-wallers so needless to say extraction walls most likely wont make the cut. Neither will entirely painted works.
If you guys would like to toss some ideas around here that would be great for brainstorming and for other members to get
inspiration.
Fran and I welcome any suggestions or questions about the topic.
i made a promotional wall in which my
resolution was twofold: 1) to draw a background from scratch and 2) to try bold, manga-esque lineart and shadows.
You don't have to be uber ambitious, it can be something really simple and easy. We just want to see some inspiration

thanks for starting this thread, staff is actually discussing this issue right now. rule of thumb though is report when
in doubt, and its not a problem if you make "unnecessary" reports.
but official response for now is that staff is split on the issue so we need a few more weeks to make an official
decision (god how many times did i say official)

report. additionally, we included guidelines about how the group is run
the only thing we didnt write down is how to add tags, but i assumed that was pretty self explanatory?
the only reason i havent written a how-to is because i dont want to be redundant
i would be happy to add any information that you feel is missing so plz help by being more specific =] the group content

maybe try tagging a short series first and reporting + everything, then write here what was confusing

1) Best Tagging Practices: is there anything i should add that would make this clearer for members and more helpful for
staff?
2) Activities: The timeline will depend on how active people are in finishing, so it'll be determined by Fran and me.
But what are people willing to do? Go through scans in series and just make sure the hierarchy is right, or would people
also be willing to go through series they know well and tag all the characters?
3) Should we have a separate category for larger series (eg Code Geass, Naruto, Bleach etc?)

wow i cant believe you used MS paint >_> that must have taken forever i really commend your hard work
unfortunately MS paint doesnt really make real vectors.
i encourage you to read some tutorials and start vectoring, its really alot of fun and you'll get higher quality images

what program are you using, because i was confused as to why they were jagged too
so the button doesnt work on certan browsers/computers
what you should do is right click + open in new window, or fran's option
try some color differentiation and some lighting. in addition, maybe make a sky or something so its not all water :3
